Melo Social Terms of Service

(Melo Social – A Division of MeloTel Inc., Toronto, Ontario, Canada)

Please read these Terms carefully as they affect your rights.

1. About Melo Social

Melo Social is a division of Melo Technology Inc., a Canadian company based in Toronto, Ontario (“Melo Social”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

These Terms govern your use of melosocial.com and any related services (the “Service”). By using our website or subscribing to our services, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.


2. Description of Services

Melo Social provides social media marketing, content creation, publishing tools, and related digital services.

We may update, improve, or modify features from time to time. Any new features are subject to these Terms.


3. Client Data & Ownership

All content and participant data collected specifically for your campaigns belongs to you.

We may use anonymized, aggregated data (that does not identify you or your participants) to improve our services and analyze performance.

Both parties agree to comply with all applicable Canadian privacy laws and platform policies.


4. Accounts & Security

To use the Service, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Provide accurate account information

  • Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

Accounts registered by bots or automated methods are not permitted.


5. Payments & Subscriptions Subscription Fees

All subscription fees are charged in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.

Subscription details and pricing are available on our Pricing Page and form part of this Agreement.

Billing

  • A valid payment method is required.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.

  • You may cancel at any time through your account dashboard.

  • Cancellation stops future billing but does not generate refunds for prior periods unless eligible under the refund policy below.

Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day refund window for new customers only.

  • Refund eligibility applies only to first-time accounts.

  • After 30 days, fees are non-refundable.

  • Abuse of the refund policy through repeated sign-ups is not permitted.


6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time within your account settings.

Upon cancellation:

  • Future billing stops.

  • Pending posts already written are billable

  • Your access may be terminated at the end of your billing period.

  • Your stored content may be permanently deleted.

We are not responsible for loss of data after cancellation.


7. Intellectual Property

All software, branding, systems, and materials created by Melo Social remain our intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Client-created and paid-for content becomes the property of the Client once full payment has been received.


8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer or copy our software

  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes

  • Upload malicious code

  • Attempt unauthorized access

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.


9. Beta Features

From time to time, we may release beta features. These are provided “as-is” and may be incomplete or unstable. Use at your own risk.


10. Third-Party Platforms

Our services may integrate with third-party platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).

We are not responsible for:

  • Changes to third-party platform policies

  • Platform outages

  • Platform account suspensions


11. Marketing Usage

Unless you opt out, we may reference your company name or logo in our marketing materials as a client of Melo Social.

You may opt out by contacting support.


12. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as-is” without warranties of any kind.

We do not guarantee specific marketing results, revenue outcomes, engagement levels, or platform performance.


13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Ontario and Canadian law:

Melo Social’s total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the twelve (12) months prior to the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or data.


14. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Ontario, Canada.


Content Writing Services Terms

For content writing clients:

  • One complimentary strategy interview is included for new clients.

  • Revisions must be requested within 3 days of delivery.

  • Rewrites are only provided in cases of material error.

  • Word counts may vary within approximately 50 words.

  • Content ownership transfers to the client upon full payment.

  • Refunds are generally not provided for delivered work.

  • We offer fully white-labelled content services.
